We offer a comprehensive suite of courses designed for motorcyclists looking to elevate their riding skills beyond the basics taught in Compulsory Basic Training (CBT). Whether you’re aiming to ride more powerful motorcycles or simply enhance your riding proficiency, our courses are tailored to meet your needs.
Why do advanced motorcycle training?
As regulations and riding challenges evolve, so too should your riding skills. Our advanced courses cater to riders who wish to progress through the motorcycle license categories as outlined under the latest EU directives, which have been in place since January 19, 2013.
Understanding License Categories
- Category A1: Small motorcycles up to 125cc, with a power output not exceeding 11kW. The minimum age for obtaining this license is 17 years. A valid CBT certificate and passing both theory and practical tests are prerequisites.
- Category A2: Medium motorcycles, with or without a sidecar, having a power output up to 35kW and not derived from a vehicle of more than double its power. The minimum age for A2 is 19 years. You can access this category via Progressive Access with two years’ experience on a Category A1 bike, or Direct Access by meeting age and testing requirements.
- Category A: Unrestricted motorcycles above 35kW, including tricycles over 15kW. Accessible from age 21 through Progressive Access after two years with a Category A2 license, or from age 24 as Direct Access. Both paths require passing practical motorcycle tests specific to this category.
Training includes:
Our advanced training modules are designed to guide you through the all the stages of learning to ride a motorcycle.
- Progressive and Direct Access Paths: Tailored programs that prepare you for upgrading your motorcycle license, focusing on building your experience progressively or allowing direct entry to higher categories based on your age and current qualifications.
- Practical Skills Enhancement: Beyond standard licensing requirements, our training emphasizes safe riding practices, hazard awareness, and advanced control techniques suitable for more powerful motorcycles.
- Customized Learning Experiences: We recognize that every rider’s journey is unique. Our instructors, all of whom are approved under the Department of Environment (DOE) standards, provide personalized coaching to ensure that your transition to advanced riding is both safe and enjoyable.
